Marketing Internship / Amsterdam

This individual will work directly with the uShip Spain team to enhance all areas of user involvement with a specific focus on uShip's Spanish speaking partners and customers. uShip is currently experiencing rapid growth as we scale our operations in Europe. In order to expand our global search engine, social media, and guerilla marketing efforts in Spain, we are looking to hire internet/savvy native marketing intern for a full/time position. This position is located in Amsterdam at uShip's EU subsidiary in the Netherlands, and is a paid position. Applicants will require a work permit for the EU.

This is an outstanding position for an individual who wishes to gain exposure to the dynamic atmosphere of an internet start/up. This individual will work directly with the uShip Spain team to enhance all areas of user involvement with a specific focus on uShip's Spanish speaking partners and customers. Although the primary focus of the position will be marketing, you will have a unique opportunity to experience and contribute to all aspects of the entrepreneurial process.



Job Responsibilities:


Projects may vary, but possible examples are:

Email Marketing
Compelling content creation or promotion
Represent uShip in relevant customer and industry forums, blogs, and other social media outlets
Manual link acquisition via email, phone, meet and greet, etc.
Directory identification and submission
Limited Customer Support

Requisitos:

Knowledge of the Spanish online and offline media landscape
A general understanding of Search Engine Optimization
Experienced adjusting HTML & CSS not writing it from scratch
Strong English skills a plus

Job Requirements:



Current college student or recent graduate in marketing, media, or computer science
Must be fluent in Spanish Castellano, written and verbal
Fulltime employment as an intern for at least 6 months
Highly self/motivated and organized
Internet savvy and well versed in running or using transaction based internet sites
The internship should start as soon as possible. Preferably as early as March, 2012
