Research area or group:

Description of the group or project:

The SO-ICN2 Summer Fellowships Programme aims to promote science and support the research careers of exceptionally talented young students. Through this programme, ICN2 offers undergraduate students from top universities worldwide the opportunity to complete an internship at ICN2 during the European summer months.

This summer internship will serve to broaden their education and research training. The selected candidates will have the opportunity to actively participate in one of our frontier research groups, and learn about new and exciting areas of science, novel technologies and innovative ideas, all in an open and international environment. Candidates may either complete part of their final year project or participate in an existing research project at ICN2.

The SO-ICN2 Summer Fellowship Programme offered by ICN2 is part of the Severo Ochoa Programme on "Nanodevices for Social Challenges" funded in 2014 by the then Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness to support research centres of excellence.

Summary of conditions:

Internships of between 8 and 12 weeks during the summer months will be agreed between ICN2, the student and their university.

Compensation: 800 € gross/month

Some funding for travel is available for foreign students upon request.

Requisitos:

Eligible candidates must be in the final year of their BSc, Master´s or equivalent studies. Only students with an excellent academic background will be considered for this fellowship. Overall grades must be indicated in the online application form in order for the application to be considered.
