At a glance
The Meetings and Events Intern supports the team of Managers for Paris and surrounding areas through various tasks: marketing, commercial, operational and administrative. He/She will be handling some projects from A to Z in particular on the marketing and commercial side of the internship. A very high level of written and spoken English is required.
Responsibilities
*Marketing and Commercial
-Create and update all our PowerPoint slides with the new Pacific World corporate template and compile into a global database split by type of suppliers: venues, hotels, restaurants, tours. All our slides are in English
-Answer the requests from our head office for the ongoing marketing campaigns, which includes the presentation of new ideas for meetings/incentive (Fresh Ideas) and creating presentations for clients’ visits
-Build a database for major events happening in Paris and surrounding areas (trade shows, exhibitions, shows, sport events, …). Select the main events then build customized programs around them (visits, accommodation, meals, …) in order to attract new clients to the destination
-Update and maintain our Excel database for guides and hostesses including language spoken and contact details
-Research new venues and be on top of any major new opening in Paris or events happening on the destination in order to propose new ideas to our clients
-Support the team when they answer to clients’ Requests For Proposals (RFPs) in particular when searching for special venues/hotels/experiences in Paris or other destinations

Requisitos:
*Operational and administrative
-Give operational support during our events through the supervision and follow-up of certain tasks such as meet & greet services, transfers, hotel accommodations, visits, lunch/dinners, …
-Give support on all administrative tasks for our events such as printing, filing, sorting, distributing document to venues and guides and inspecting sites before guests’ arrival
-If required approve suppliers’ invoices by checking the amounts charged versus the services provided
Qualifications
-Very high level of written and spoken English. All our clients’ communication is in English
-Bachelor or Master’s degree student in Tourism, Leisure, Hospitality or Marketing
-Organizational skills with the capability to handle various projects with short deadlines at the same time
-High motivation for tourism and marketing area paired with a passion for customer service
-Knowledge of Paris and surrounding areas
-A previous experience in an international environment is a plus
-Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular PowerPoint and Excel
