Purchasing Trainee in Nissan - Support All Purchasing Activities in Nissan Europe Plants

Background:

CITIUS is a company-university program that will help to the student interacting himself in a job environment and promoted by the UAB.
Citius post grade consists in two parts: a Master in Business Management or Business Initiation post grade plus an internship in a Company (training on the job), that will be performed (work and study) in parallel.
Then, on top of the official Degree, the participant is qualified to be part of the Company, that happen frequently.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities​:
- Support to the lead buyers analyzing the supplier quotations providing the evidences to make sound financial and analytical based decisions that enable the most competitive sourcing

- Doing benchmark studies between Renault and Nissan defining cost drivers and making comparison of prices identifying aspects like specification, exchange rate and material

- Identifying cost of imported KD parts from India, Thailand, America and Japan. He will propose ideas of future localization (or the opposite; move to KD those local parts that are not profitable anymore)

- She/he will be responsible for managing cost reduction reporting. He will help buyers to build their monthly cost reduction forecast and he will make sure that official report is in line with team expectations

- Occasionally, he/she will also support to create concise and self-explanatory PowerPoint presentations for Project management or Renault Nissan Purchasing Organization.

- She/he will help the team members to organize meetings/visits and agenda of activities with other Departments, organizations or suppliers
