Optiva Media is developing the next step in Digital pay and broadcast TV. We are leading independent engineering services to deliver video broadcast solutions to companies within Europe and beyond.
Optiva Media has proven expertise in delivering complex end to end digital television solutions for broadcasters and telcos that in turn allows their customers to have an exciting and engaging video experience, wherever they may be, whatever screen they are viewing on.

You will learn about:
• How to identify talented developers to run the IT projects we have
• Strategy in a growing company with international projects
• IT & Video Technologies Benchmark
• Work with Software Developers related with Digital TV: Hybrid TV, accessibility services, interactive applications, etc.
• Learn about the Video Technologies from all views: Engineering, Video Operation, backend and frontend software development, mobile apps, etc
• Design patterns (MVC), Agile Methodology (SCRUM), Source Code Control Tool (GIT / SUBVERSION), Continuous integration and TDD/BDD.
• Web Client-Side Technologies /Web Browser: SVG/HTML5, CSS3, JAVASCRIPT, AJAX, , JQUERY, JQUERYMOBILE, ADOBE FLASH, FLEX AND AIR, ANGULARJS and others.
• Web Server-Side Technologies: NODEJS, RUBYONRAILS, J2EE, WEBSERVICES, XML, JSON and others.

Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a currently enrolled engineering student who is interested in the Digital TV industry. You should be able to stay with our company for a 6-12 month period full or part time. You are passionate about technology and what’s coming next, you also need to have the skills to communicate clearly, listen, discuss and dissect complex problems. You enjoy learning and are curious about exploring problems and developing creative solutions.

Requisitos:

Languages:
• High level of Spanish and English. German and/or Portuguese are desirable

Minimum requirements:
• Currently enrolled in a BS program in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Telematic Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or a similar program
• Good knowledge of object oriented design principles
• Experience using technologies like Javascript, java, ruby, python and C++/C at an intermediate proficiency level
• Be available a minimum of 5 hours daily
• You will be working in our Madrid office which is accessible by public transportation bus line 162 (Moncloa-El Barrial) or Cercanías C7/10.
