Purchasing Assistant

Our client, a food industry company, is looking for a Purchasing Assistant for their office in Valencia. A purchasing assistant provides technical and administrative assistance to a purchasing department and the Purchase Manager. Duties: — Collate purchase orders and purchase requisitions in order to order materials, goods and supplies and send them to the suppliers. — Review inventories and order as required. — Contact with suppliers and understand their needs. Support the Purchase Manager with negotiation and resolve missed deliveries, short shipments and pricing discrepancies. — Review deliveries against the orders. — Assist in controlling the purchasing department budget by creating yearly forecasts. — Ensure that any invoices are sent to accounts for payment. — Help implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
