Negotiating the price with vendors. Purchasing department is the second step of the scale.
They must monitor the quotes, from the client's Purchase Order until the delivery of the goods. This includes buying the parts, testing them in our test houses, following the shipment and making sure that the parts are delivered on time, and sometimes dealing with unhappy customers who wants a refund or some replacement parts.
They are in contact with international vendors with whom they order the parts after negotiating every detail like the lead time, the payment terms or the price. Most of our vendors are in China and we chat with them by skype, maintaining a good relationship with them.

Requisitos:
They are in constant contact with vendors from all around the world to find the best offers for the costumer. Indeed, for each quote they have a minimum growth profit to reach. To do this, they have to negotiate prices. For quotes we need someone fast and active. someone who can multitask and has a great memory. they need to deal with many things at the same time, have multiple conversations at the same time with different vendors so they need to know what is going on. the memory is important. they need to not be afraid to negotiate and get things their own way. Finding your way to ask for what they want. They need to be able to prioritize and see what is important and what is not. Attention to detail is again very important. They need to do deep google search sometimes so that requires sitting and googling and reading. They need to be interested in the work and motivated, otherwise they won’t get anything done. Communication is important, they talk to sales and to vendors. they need to be able to pick up the phone and call the vendor and not be afraid of it. So, someone outgoing and brave is necessary. Great English and fast talker.
