Labour Relations Internship (Part-Time)

We are looking for a Labour Relations Associate to join our HR / People Operations team. As a Labour Relations Associate, you will assist with providing support, advice, and guidance related to labour and employee relations matters including the administration, interpretation and application of various collective agreements and the handling of complaints/disputes and grievances.
 
What you will be doing:

• Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.
• Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
• Monitor company or workforce adherence to labour agreements.
• Draft contract proposals or counter-proposals for collective bargaining or other labour negotiations.
• Work closely with human resources personnel to communicate pertinent information and documents.
• Assist in developing, organizing and leading various workshops regarding labour relations, collective agreement interpretation, workforce planning, guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Interpret and administer multiple collective agreements, assists in the preparation and representation for grievance hearings and conflict resolution and the promotion of a positive labour relations environment.
