Internship Developer ( Duml/couchbase/java/mvc4 )

This internship position is to contribute, as a part of a cross functional team, to the development of a large product, encompassing a highly scalable server platform, off-the-shelf business systems and a configurable back office system in a hosted environment. The role presents an exciting opportunity to help define a worldleading product in one of the most exciting markets.

Key responsibilities:
- Implement and test software following coding standards and in accordance with applicable software, development methodology, release processes and quality requirements
- Respond to escalation requests within agreed timeline
- Create and execute designs for new functionality as part of a software project
- Provide technical solutions to a variety of problems
- Estimate level of effort for own work and input in estimates for other developers
- Investigate new technologies and make recommendations for adoption
- Works collaboratively with other team members in cross functional teams to achieve goals
- Participate in product and/or application definition activities including feature analysis and system trade-offs
- Drive initiatives for technical/process improvement
- Report appropriate exceptions and issues to lead developer providing options and recommendations to resolve them
