Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

To provide leadership, advice, and assistance in improving the quality of software development, by focusing on technical test solutions both functional and non/functional that align efficiently to the solution architecture.
Defining Standard Technical Test Strategy
Ownership, development, and ongoing maintenance of technology elements of the organisational test strategy.
Directly influencing approach on all test levels including unit, integration, system, and acceptance.
Coaching and Mentoring

Work with individuals and teams to improve knowledge and capability for improvement of test coverage using appropriate technical testing solutions.
Collaboration on Product/Project Test Strategy

Consult with teams on the appropriate technical testing solutions to support the product/project test strategy, and be accountable for the delivery of appropriate solutions.
Research and Development
Evaluate, review various test tools and/or frameworks for automation, performance testing etc. and recommend suitable selection for the organisation based on ROI calculation.

Requisitos:

Essential Skills/Experience for this role are:

Adaptable to technology change and able to track technology trends.
Coding skills in an Object Orientated language .NET, Java, etc..
SQL skills MS/SQL, Oracle, etc..
ThoughtWorks Twist usage skills with Go desirable.
Unit test frameworks such as NUnit, JUnit, etc..
Integration test frameworks such as SpecFlow, etc.
Performance testing tools such as JMeter, Grinder, or similar.
Line management of a small team of similarly technical people.
Presentation and communication skills particularly kata and brown bag type delivery.
Performing both functional and non/functional testing.
Testing high availability, high concurrency, high resilience E/commerce web solutions.
Working in agile development teams, with a strong understanding of quality principles within such teams including TDD and story acceptance.
Working with continuous integration and continuous delivery principles and technology.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent business experience and ideally hold the ISEB/ISTQB Foundation or above Certificate Practitioner desirable. The ITIL V3 Foundation or above Certificate is desirable.

We´re looking for people who are able to self organise and prioritise their own workload with a passion for testing and quality to individuals across technical teams.
